Get the fun flowing and let the teamwork triumph!

Are you tired of being stuck in the office, listening to your coworkers snore in the next cubicle over? Do you need a break from the fluorescent lighting and stale air? Look no further! Here are 10 great team building activities to do outdoors that will get you out of the office and into the sunshine (and maybe even help you like your coworkers a little more).

  1. Scavenger hunt: Split into teams and send them on a scavenger hunt around your city or town. Give them a list of things to find (e.g. a statue of a famous person, a sign that says “free samples”, a street performer, etc.) and watch as they race to be the first to find them all.

  2. Amazing Race: Inspired by the TV show, this activity involves teams racing around a course, completing challenges and obstacles along the way. Just make sure to avoid any real-life pit stops!

  3. Outdoor Escape Room: Put your team’s problem-solving skills to the test with an outdoor escape room. Set up a series of puzzles and clues around a park or other outdoor space, and see if your team can solve them all in time to escape.

  4. Geocaching: Use GPS technology to go on a treasure hunt around your local area. Geocaching involves finding hidden containers (called geocaches) and recording your findings in a logbook. It’s a great way to explore new areas and work together as a team.

  5. Survival Skills Training: Learn how to build a fire, set up a shelter, and find food and water in the wilderness. This activity will not only help you bond as a team, but it may also come in handy during the next office camping trip.

  6. Kayaking or Canoeing: Take to the water and paddle your way to victory. Kayaking or canoeing is a great way to build teamwork and communication skills, as well as get some exercise in the process.

  7. Obstacle Course: Set up an obstacle course in a park or other outdoor space, and watch as your team jumps, crawls, and climbs their way to the finish line. Just make sure to include some mud pits for added fun!

  8. Paintball: Unleash your competitive side with a game of paintball. Split into teams and try to eliminate the other team by shooting them with paintballs. It’s a great way to blow off steam and bond as a team.

  9. Outdoor Yoga: Take your yoga practice to the great outdoors. Find a peaceful spot in a park or on a beach, and let the sounds of nature help you find your inner zen. You might even find that you have some yoga masters in your midst.

  10. Outdoor Cooking Challenge: Put your team’s culinary skills to the test with an outdoor cooking challenge. Split into teams and see who can whip up the best meal using only a campfire or grill. Just make sure to pack some Tums for afterwards.

So there you have it, folks. 10 great team building activities to do outdoors. Who knew that getting out of the office could be so much fun?

I mean who doesn’t love watersports? But for a mixed team maybe think of offering a mixed selection – including a giant SUP maybe? Fun as well as team building
