Montjuïc Castle Challenge

There’s only one beautiful Montjuïc Castle! This imposing military fortress is built on top of Montjuïc hill in Barcelona and has dominated the city since 1640. The fortress/castle offers incredible views of Barcelona, its harbour and industrial port, Tibidabo Mountain and the Mediterranean Sea. It is the site of ancient Roman quarries, a 17th century castle, the 1929 International Fair and the 1992 Olympic Games.

What Can We Expect?

Our personable, multi-lingual team leaders will be waiting on site for your arrival, to brief you on your forthcoming challenge.

We will then divide your group into teams – we suggest 6 to 8 people per team. Each team receives an iPad with our specialised game app ready to run. The game is set up to split the teams up to begin with, after which each team can go in whichever direction it feels is best to find the remaining clues.

Each clue solved takes the teams one step further along the game route, via the grounds, through various tunnels and along the bastions and parapets of the castle, with additional points gained for spotting several curiosities along the way.

The game takes full advantage of the rich, eventful history and diverse landscape of Montjuïc (Montjuïc Park is one of the prettiest spots in Barcelona), yet no previous knowledge or history of the area is required to allow enjoyment of the game.

Team members require comfortable shoes (there’s lots of walking involved!), plus communication skills, team work, a keen mind, a little imagination, some creative thinking and a sense of fun.
