Game of Thrones Team Building in Girona: Custom Event for 135 People

A corporate client requested a unique event for 135 participants in Girona. Therefore, we designed a custom interactive mystery game. We combined iconic Game of Thrones team building in Girona locations, professional live actors, and a fictional crime involving a missing tech prototype.

Instead of using a generic package, our team built the entire narrative exclusively for them.

The Storyline: Tech Meets Westeros

A production company filmed a commercial in Girona for a new HP point-of-sale prototype.

The fictional advertisement merged the medieval world of Game of Thrones with modern technology. Two warriors began fighting before questioning why they could not resolve disputes like civilized humans. They walked into a modern café, where baristas processed orders using the new HP system.

Only one problem arose the next morning.

Someone burgled the café overnight and stole the valuable HP prototype. Consequently, our 135 investigators had to uncover the truth.

135 Investigators Unleashed in Girona

Participants split into teams and received individual investigation packs. These kits contained suspect profiles, maps, and note sheets.

Moreover, we assigned different starting points. Thus, teams naturally spread across the city instead of crowding identical routes.

Waiting across Girona were eight live characters from the shoot:

  • The Director

  • The Producer

  • Two Warriors

  • A Camera Person

  • Two Baristas

  • A Makeup Artist

Each actor shared a different perspective of the previous evening. Teams interviewed these characters, compared conflicting stories, and pieced together clues.

Girona Becomes the Stage

The historic streets of Girona transformed into a live game board.

Teams encountered characters at genuine Game of Thrones filming locations. At Girona Cathedral, participants met the two warriors and camera operator amid impromptu sword fights. Meanwhile, groups discovered the Director and Producer at Plaça dels Jurats.

Additionally, participants tracked down baristas at Plaça de la Independència and found the Makeup Artist along Rambla de la Llibertat. As a result, alibis collapsed, contradictions emerged, and the mystery unraveled.

Beyond a Standard Treasure Hunt

This corporate experience succeeded because it blended teamwork, theater, and storytelling.

Participants talked to professional actors, listened actively, and evaluated critical details together. Because we built the experience around the client’s specific product, the game felt entirely authentic.

At Blue Wolf, we love crafting bespoke adventures. We take a city, a team, and a brand brief to build fully customized live events featuring professional actors.

For this project, 135 people spent an afternoon investigating a missing tech prototype through medieval streets made famous by Game of Thrones. Truly, it was an unforgettable day at the office.
