The stunning medieval walled citadel of Carcassonne, located in the Languedoc-Roussillon region of southern France, offers incredible opportunities for team building activities in Carcassonne, France. Perched on a hill and surrounded by mountains, olive groves, and vineyards, Carcassonne rivals Mont St Michel as one of the most visited monuments in France. Inside, you’ll find an impressive castle, beautiful church, cobbled streets, and striking gardens.

Carcassonne’s rich and turbulent history includes its role in a 20-year military campaign led by Pope Innocent III and its transformation from a border fortress between France and the Crown of Aragon. After the borders shifted, Carcassonne’s significance as a stronghold diminished, but it was restored in the 1960s. The medieval core is now a UNESCO World Heritage site, perfect for team building events like Treasure Hunts, Photo Quests and Trivia Challenges.

Below the citadel is the charming ‘new town’, Bastide Saint Louis, with independent boutiques, bars, and restaurants.
